Product Review: The Water Bobble @waterbobble
We’re definitely a fan of the product and packaging design for this little bottle. The small carbon foot print coupled with the ability to customize the product by adding different color filters is brilliant. So, awesome work Karim Rashid.
From the Bobble Website, “We chose to reinvent bottled water. We’ve developed bobble: a revolutionary product that takes care of the planet, keeps your body hydrated, your wallet fat and your taste buds satisfied.”
We definitely recommend that you go and pick up one of these $9.99ish bottles from your local Whole Foods grocery store and some Targets are starting to carry them. It saves you a ton of money buying bottled water and the inclusive filtration system really makes the water taste better. We love the “baked in” approach of an innovative product matched with a great presentation of design.
If we had to give some constructive criticism on the product it would be this.
1.0 The clear lid that attaches to the sipping mouthpiece creates a tight seal. It’s very difficult to take the lid on and off without unscrewing your whole filtration device first because of the vacuum it creates.
2.0 The bottle is made from 100% recycled water bottles. The walls of the bottle are just slightly thicker than a plastic bottle you’d buy from the grocery store. After multiples uses of pushing on the sides to drink water, it can get slightly bent out of shape.
Overall grade: 3 out of 4 compasses.
